Affectionately named “Queen of the Twist,” Vanessa Lynn is an Amazon bestselling writer and producer of a unique brand of suspenseful, dramatic, inspirational productions. This Detroit native has been around the arts her entire life. As a youth, her mother, a well-known Detroit music teacher, exposed her to such classics as “Annie” and “The Wiz” that made an indelible impression on the budding writer.
Beginning in the early 2000s, Vanessa penned and produced several popular stage plays in the metro-Detroit area. Live recordings of “Unequally Yoked,” “Affairs" and “Boss Lady,” each garnered national distribution (2012-2013) which included space inside over 700 Walmart stores. Her suspenseful thriller “Deranged” and "Church Girl" (contributing writer) toured select U.S. cities as well as Canada. Church Girl has aired on the BET and Centric TV networks. Vanessa's first feature film "Fakers" was released in 2020 on streaming platforms as a four part mini-series.
